On 31 May 2026, researchers and students from The Adaptive Mind (TAM) participated in the annual Straße der Experimente in Gießen, inviting visitors of all ages to explore psychology and cognitive science through hands-on activities.
Under the motto “Dein Gehirn im Alltag – Sehen, Denken, Staunen”, visitors could experience a range of interactive demonstrations, including mobile eye tracking during everyday tasks, visual perception challenges, size-weight illusions, 3D drawing activities, and experiments exploring face perception.
The event attracted many curious visitors throughout the day and provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the public, discuss current research, and demonstrate how psychological science helps us understand perception, cognition, and adaptive behavior in everyday life.
We would like to thank all researchers, student assistants, and volunteers whose enthusiasm and commitment made the event such a success.
